ABOUT ME
Paula Vera holds a degree in Chemical Engineering (2008) and a PhD in Analytical Science (2013) from the University of Zaragoza, where she was awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize. She is currently an Assistant Professor (Profesor Ayudante Doctora) at Faculty of Veterinary, University of Zaragoza (2025). Her research focuses on food packaging safety, particularly on the identification and risk assessment of NIAS (Non-Intentionally Added Substances), migration studies, and the development of advanced analytical methodologies (GC-MS and UPLC/QTOF-IM). She has participated in competitive European, national, and international projects and maintains strong technology transfer activities in collaboration with companies in the plastics and recycling sectors. She is the author of more than 45 scientific articles (91% in Q1 journals) and has an h-index of 25.
