The next 25th February, at 12h., at the Seminario del I3A (Ed. I+D, bloque 5, 2ª planta), Dra. Sandra Cruz (Federal University of São Carlo) will talk to us about Integrated Strategies to Overcome Challenges in Polymer Recycling. This conference has been organized by our research group.
Short Description of the talk:
Polymer recycling, although discussed and applied in industry for several decades, has gained increased prominence in recent years, driven — among other factors — by environmental pressures associated with the growing plastic pollution crisis. In this context, this seminar provides a comprehensive overview of the Polymer Recycling and Modification Research Group (ReMoPol) at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Brazil. Strategies for reinserting these materials into the production cycle will be discussed, along with the main challenges and systemic bottlenecks associated with these processes, with a focus on the packaging and textile industries. The complexity of these systems underscores the need for multiple, integrated approaches supported by different areas of knowledge.
